Salisbury University Staff Senate is currently accepting nominations for open positions on Staff Senate. If you are a staff member not covered by collective bargaining (NSTCB), please consider nominating yourself or another staff member. All available positions and terms are listed below. We encourage you to nominate yourself or another staff member by completing the Qualtrics Survey by May 11th 2023.

What is the Staff Senate at Salisbury University?
Staff Senate meets monthly to discuss various topics such as reports from the President’s Advisory Team, Human Resources, and Administration & Finance. We review USM and SU policies and make recommendations directly to the President on issues related to the administration of the University and on the functional support aspects of academic matters. Our responsibility is to consider and make recommendations on university issues affecting non-faculty employees, to communicate employee concerns to the President, and to inform non-faculty employees of the university’s related actions. The mission of the Council of University System Staff (CUSS) is to provide a voice for exempt and non-exempt staff employee concerns in reference to basic decisions that affect the welfare of the University System of Maryland (USM) and its employees.
