SALISBURY, MD—Applications are being accepted for the Innovate Walls Mural Art competition hosted by Salisbury University’s Dave and Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship.

Artists have until Wednesday, October 25 to submit their designs for consideration.

“Art and innovation share the same heartbeat of creativity and the power to drive change,” said Bryan Bourdeau, assistant director of the center. “This competition is a celebration of the transformative energy that comes from merging these two forces.”

The collaborative initiative, in partnership with SU Art Galleries and the City of Salisbury Arts, Business and Culture Department, seeks to transform two of the center's walls into dynamic canvases that exemplify the fusion of art and innovation.

The unique platform will allow artists to showcase their talent and contribute to the center’s vibrant atmosphere. Designs that demonstrate a captivating mural that embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and community are sought.

A panel of judges including local artists, entrepreneurs and community leaders will award the two winning designs necessary art supplies and a first place cash prize of $1,200 ($800 for second place). Winners will be announced the week of November 6.

Interested artists may apply through the center’s submission portal.
