Looking for a different gen ed for the spring – then BIOL 105-010 The History of Zoological Institutions could be for you!
The course is a three credit non-lab Gen Ed IVB course.
Zoos have changed their mission and focus to include conservation, education, and research. This course will look at the history of zoological institutions and their role in modern society
This class has two Saturday field trips to visit AZA Accredited Zoological Institutions to observe the concepts discussed in class in practice as well as a field trip to the Salisbury Zoo There is one project – students will research an animal of their choosing and design an appropriate zoo exhibit for that animal.
