Hi, my name is Luke Zolenski and I am conducting a survey to assess the emotional responses between listening-to and looking-at a song. In this study, we are analyzing the philosophical concept of representing a song visually. Using the abstraction capabilities of Python, a program reads song data and stores given frequencies as objects, which are then represented on a digital canvas.                                                                           

We are looking for artists, musicians, and non-artists/musicians to participate. It should only take about 5 minutes per person and participation is completely voluntary. Participants will listen to a segment of a song and rate their emotional response. They will then look at the song’s “painting” and rate their emotional responses again. The survey will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00PM-4:00PM from now until the end of the semester, here are the dates for the survey sessions:
