Memo Diriker was elected as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the TidalHealth Medical System.
Memo Diriker was selected as one of the 2023 recipients of the Maryland ICON awards by the Maryland Daily Record in recognition of his years of business and economic development leadership and his mentoring of emerging business leaders throughout the state.
On Thursday, November 16, 2023, Dr. E. Patrick McDermott spoke at the Houston Labor and Employment Relations Association meeting in a program titled “Artificial Intelligence in Dispute Resolution, The Future is Here, But Where Are We Going”. He was joined by panelists from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This was one of the first AI programs at LERA. It was well-received, including the demonstration of AI-assisted negotiation. Dr. McDermott was proud to note to the audience that his Negotiation class at the PSB had tested the AI platform and was the first Negotiation class in the U.S. to engage in such an exercise. The event was attended by law school faculty, government officials, and practitioners from across the county.
