The Salisbury University Libraries are pleased to offer our Family Study Room, a separate room set aside for use by SU students, faculty, and staff who want a comfortable place to work while caring for children and vulnerable adults. The room includes computer stations, adult and child-sized furniture, children’s books and toys, a microwave, a refrigerator, a TV/DVD player, and sound reduction panels. There is space for two families at once.

The room is available to reserve by Salisbury University students, faculty, and staff any time the Library Service Desk is open. It can be reserved up to a maximum of four hours per day.  Please note:

  • Parents/guardians with a reservation must come to the Library Service Desk to borrow a specially programmed card that will give them access to the room during the reservation.
  • The reservation confirmation and a valid SU Gull Card must be presented to enter the room.
  • You must be accompanied by a child or vulnerable adult in order to access the space, and they must stay with you while you use it.
