The Divinity of Color by Daijah Richardson will be on display in the GSU 2nd floor lounge March 4th through April 5th.

Daijah Richardson is an artist born and raised in Salisbury, Md. She has always been interested in the visual arts as a child, in a private Christian school where art classes were not available, she would create pamphlets to tell illustrative stories that were often riddled with dramatic tension, dynamic movement and bright colors. Once she arrived in the public school system where the visual arts were accessible, she threw herself wholeheartedly into art classes and after-school art programs. At the time of her high school graduation, she was determined art would be her field of study, but to her dismay, her family encouraged a more logical field of study, which deterred her original pursuits. Thus, she joined the working class instead. After 10 years, Daijah became determined once more to pursue her passion and receive academic training in the visual arts as a painter at Salisbury University. Daijah is also receiving training as a tattoo apprentice at a local tattoo shop in Salisbury, Maryland, to bring her style of creativity to a growing industry.
