We are delighted to announce the promotion of George Oakley to the position of Director of Dining Services at Salisbury University.

George has been a dedicated member of the Salisbury University community for more than two decades, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence in dining services. His journey with the University began as an Assistant Manager in 2002, where he supervised various dining concepts and coordinated special events. Over the years, George has steadily advanced, taking on roles of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Director, Acting Associate Director, and most recently, Associate Director, and then Interim Director, of Dining Services.

Throughout his tenure, George has played a pivotal role in the success of our dining services, overseeing operations for approximately 3,000 meal plan holders and managing a significant volume of transactions and events. His leadership has been instrumental in launching and managing major projects such as the opening of the SU-owned Chick-fil-A franchise, the implementation of GrubHub, and numerous dining hall upgrades.

George’s strategic vision and operational expertise have consistently contributed to the financial health and sustainability of our dining services.
