Dear Campus Community,

Human Resources is excited to welcome Nancy Foster to our team as the new Employee and Labor Relations Specialist! With an extensive background in human resources, recruitment, and policy development, Nancy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this vital role. Her primary responsibilities will include managing employee and labor relations, developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, and performance management. Additionally, she will play a key role in supporting Salisbury University’s strategic goals around employee engagement.

Nancy joins us from Bucknell University, where she served as an HR Generalist specializing in talent acquisition and retention. Her work at Bucknell involved strategic consultation across campus to build collaborative relationships and support organizational needs, including workforce and succession planning, employee relations, and DEI initiatives.

Prior to her role as an HR Generalist, Nancy was the Operations Manager at Bucknell, where she developed and managed budgets, oversaw the background screening program, and handled complex HR inquiries. Her experience also includes serving as the Director of Human Resources at Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, where she supported both year-round and seasonal staff, focusing on employee relations, learning and organizational development, and policy administration.

Nancy’s strong communication skills, ethical leadership, and dedication to fostering positive work environments make her a perfect fit for our team. With professional certifications from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and the Human Resources Certification Institute (SPHR), she brings a solid foundation of HR knowledge and best practices.

Please join us in giving Nancy a warm welcome! We look forward to the expertise and insight she will bring to her new role, and are excited to see her contributions as we continue to enhance our HR functions and support the needs of SU employees.

Welcome to the HR team, Nancy!
