Faculty: You are invited to apply for the third Ethics Across the Curriculum Faculty Workshop, to be held January 14th-17th, 2025. This workshop will gather faculty from across all four schools and CHHS and the Library to discuss ethics education, the role of ethics in their disciplines, ethical reasoning and dialogue, the application of ethics in teaching and scholarship, as well as theoretical and structural concerns that arise in thinking through ethical problems. We will focus specifically on implementing new approaches to ethics in your teaching: new approaches to course content and ethics-based activities, developing our own skills in ethical reasoning and exploring new models for ethics discussion, as well as exploring how to write and adapt case studies and design ethics assessments. The workshop will have a contract for implementation of your chosen activity and will carry a $750 stipend. This workshop is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities “Connections” grant and the REACH initiative.
If you are interested in applying, simply fill out this survey, and if you have any questions please contact facilitator Timothy Stock (testock@salisbury.edu). We will be meeting in person at the Philosophy House for full days on the 14th-16th and for a half day on Friday the 17th. Lunch will be served during our full-day meetings. Thank you in advance for your interest!
