Dustin Chambers, Professor of Economics, has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Regulatory Economics (JRE), effective January 2025. JRE is abstracted and indexed in 26 databases, including the Social Science Citation Index, and is rated ‘A’ journal by the Australia Business Dean’s Council (ABDC). The ABDC journal quality list is widely used by AACSB-accredited schools including the Perdue School of Business for assessing research quality. Only 18.2% of the 522 applied economics journals achieved this A-rating in the latest 2022 rankings.
Professor Chambers is replacing Professor Menahem Spiegel of Rutgers University and joins an editorial board comprising members from prestigious institutions such as Harvard, the University of Chicago, Northwestern, Georgetown, the University of Cambridge (UK), and University of Oxford (UK) among others. https://link.springer.com/journal/11149/editorial-board
This appointment highlights Dr. Chambers’ accomplishments as a highly regarded scholar in the field of regulatory economics, with an excellent publication record and research that has significant policy implications. Dr. Chambers is also a 2024 Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
