When we are orienting our education, what should we be most attentive to? The natural world? Other cultures? Our humanity?
The Philosophy Department invites Kyung-Hwa Jung (Seoul National University) to discuss a philosophical orientation to courage in facing climate change and David Hansen (Teachers College, Columbia University, NY) to rethink cosmopolitanism and humanism as guides for education in our times.
Speakers followed by an afternoon roundtable with local experts.
