Idea Factory Poster Competition Winners Announced
Salisbury University student Ramez Elobeid captured first place in the 2025 Idea Factory Poster Competition for Wuduh, an innovative browser extension designed to simplify and summarize online content, offering instant translation, context, and accessibility for users of all reading levels and languages. Elobeid’s concept earned the $3,000 first-place prize, distinguishing Wuduh among a competitive field of student entrepreneurs. The platform also helped secure additional recognition and funding, including the $500 Mosaic Award from SU’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
Earning the second-place, $2,000 Idea Factory prize was SunGuard, a digital chip sensor to detect overexposure to UV rays, pitched by Taylor Scott Greenwood, DE.
Tiana Cyrelson, of Voorhees, NJ, earned the $1,000 third-place M&T Bank Award for HabitQuest, an interactive game to encourage habit forming and progress tracking to achieve physical, mental and wellbeing goals.
In addition to the top finalists, 10 other business idea posters each received a $500 Merit Award:

• The James John Stoddard Foundation – James Stoddard, Crofton, MD (also won the SU Veterans Affairs and Edward Jones $750 Military/Veterans Award)
• Hand to Hand Food Donations – Ben Cooledge, Salisbury
• MyHealth.AI – Mason Fallon, Annapolis (also won the $2,500 CareFirst Award)
• Wise Plates – Patrick Outten, Chester, MD (also won a $500 Mosaic Award)
• Fit and Frosted Creamery – Ashley Gerbes, Essex, MD
• StudySphere – Ryleah Corbin, Glen Burnie, MD; and Eden Campbell, Mantua, NJ
Additional winners included:
• SetSpike Volleyball – Leah Osmon, Allen, MD ($1,000 Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development Award)
• Multi Chute – Tristyn Smallwood, Waldorf, MD; Maya Martin-Cubbage, Rockville, MD; and Nicolas Fraikin, Elkton, MD ($1,000 Jenna Drewer Noll Cross Collaboration Award)
About the Competition
The Idea Factory Poster Competition is one of two tracks in Salisbury University’s Student Entrepreneurship Competitions—the second-longest continuously running collegiate business competition in the United States. Held each fall and spring, the Idea Factory encourages students to showcase their business ideas through posters and live pitches, while the Bernstein Business Plan Competition, held each spring, focuses on full venture business plans and a live presentation.
