The Yale Russian Chorus (YRC) is the oldest tenor-bass a cappella singing group in the New World dedicated to the choral music of Eastern Europe. Hailed by the Wall Street Journal as “Diplomats of Song”, the YRC was founded 1953 at the height of the Cold War. The Chorus has made over 20 tours of the Soviet Union, Russia, and Eastern Europe, won international choral competitions, released 20 albums, serenaded presidents, and has performed in the world’s leading concert halls.
