Miramar
Saturday, March 29, 7:30 p.m.
Holloway Hall, Jackson Family Auditorium
Miramar performs golden-era boleros -romantic songs made famous by Puerto Rican, Mexican and Cuban musicians through the last century- and their own original songs that explore a variety of musical influences. Their sound is simultaneously retro and entirely of the moment. They are associated with the Nuevo Romantico movement and carry the torch of Bolero-Beat, a popular genre defined by its blend of traditional boleros, psychedelic funk, and rock.
