Bernstein Business Plan Competition Winners Announced

Local band Housing Co. claimed the top prize at Salisbury University’s Bernstein Business Plan Competition with their recording studio business, 2 Months Records LLC.

The team of seniors Ethan Cohen (Ocean City, MD), Connor Howes (Havre de Grace, MD), Connor Lewandowski (Elkton, MD), and alumnus Trey Niccolini ’24 earned $18,000 total: the $15,000 Richard A. Bernstein Achievement Award for Excellence and the $3,000 City of Salisbury award.

Housing Co. has achieved remarkable success with over 26 million social media views and ranks among the top 0.1% of streaming artists globally. Their business focuses on recording and promoting local music artists to help them achieve similar success.

“Our experience inspired our solution and our mission is to help emerging artists establish themselves and help grow a music community here,” the team told judges during their pitch.

The funding will help establish a permanent space, upgrade equipment, and expand marketing resources for clients.
