SU is hosting a free virtual webinar on April 5 at noon to explain the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, and how to apply. Salisbury University is a qualifying employer for the PSLF Program. Faculty (full-time and adjunct), administrators, and staff members may be eligible to have their entire remaining balance of federal student loans eliminated through PSLF – and those who have had loans for more than ten years might benefit more quickly than others. Q&A will follow the presentation. Register today to learn more!

During Keys to Loan Forgiveness for University Employees, attendees will learn how to:

  • determine if your loans are eligible
  • bring loans out of default and on track for PSLF
  • maximize benefits before the relaxed rules expire

Employees who come prepared with the following items can complete their PSLF Application during the webinar:

  • Username and password for studentaid.gov
  • Employment start date
  • Average number of hours you are contractually obligated to work per week (for adjunct faculty, use 3.35 hours worked per 1 credit hour taught)

Speaker: Dr. Tisa Silver Canady, Founder and Executive Director, Maryland Center for Collegiate Financial Wellness.
