Daisy Holder will graduate from Salisbury University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in economics. Daisy presented her honor thesis “Achieving Prosperity: The Title X Factor in Reducing Poverty,” at the International Women’s Day conference. The paper presents an econometric analysis of the Title X’s impact on poverty rates. In addition to her economic research, Daisy has tutored four economics courses at the Center for Student Achievement for three semesters. After graduation, Daisy will attend law school on a full-tuition scholarship and is planning to become a public defender. She credits her academic and professional successes to the excellent instruction and support from her professors at Salisbury University.

Dr. Memo Diriker was once again invited by the Board of Directors of the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS), to serve as the Head Judge of the NIBS Annual Business Plan Competition. The competition will take place in April and May 2024 (online) and June 2024 (in-person in Manchester, England). Dr. Diriker will also be presenting a peer-reviewed paper at the 2024 NIBS Annual Conference, June 10-14, Manchester, England. The title of his paper is “Business Plan Competition Best Practices: Reflections of a Senior Competition Judge.
