REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Salisbury University is pleased to again offer faculty and staff an opportunity to participate in ACUE’s Fostering a Culture of Belonging. Thanks to funding received through the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the ECMC Foundation, 120 faculty and staff will have had an opportunity to take part in this program as part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing an inclusive campus culture.
Fostering a Culture of Belonging (FCB) Overview: Ensure students and colleagues feel seen, heard, and valued. ACUE’s Fostering a Culture of Belonging course equips faculty and campus professionals with evidence-based practices that expand on “Embracing Diversity in Your Learning Environment,” a key topic area in ACUE’s Effective Teaching Practice Framework endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE). This 8-week course contains 4 modules that are fully online, asynchronous, and taken alongside a cohort of SU peers. Each module takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. Topics include:
- Managing the Impact of Biases
- Reducing Microaggressions
- Addressing Imposter Phenomenon and Stereotype Threat
- Cultivating an Inclusive Environment
