Salisbury, MD — The Department of Economics, invites students, and the faculty to attend The Future Workforce: A Dialog on Occupation Projection for the Mid-Atlantic Region on October 4th, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in Perdue Hall, Room 251.
This event features two prominent experts in labor economics:
Nicol Nicola, Director of Economic and Demographic Research, New Jersey Department of Labor
Michael Siers, Chief Economist, Maryland Department of Labor
These speakers will share insights on the future of the workforce in the Mid-Atlantic region, addressing key questions such as:

- What are the industry trends and occupation growth expectations in the Mid-Atlantic region?

About the Speakers
Nicol Nicola: As Director of Economic and Demographic Research at the NJ Department of Labor, Nicol oversees the collection and dissemination of critical data related to employment, business, and population trends.
Michael Siers: The Chief Economist for the MD Department of Labor, Michael leads the Labor Market Information Team, providing data-driven insights on Maryland’s employment landscape and economic trends.
