Salisbury University hosts the Brown and Church Summer Carillon Series of concerts on its Samuel R. Brown and William D. Church Carillon, at the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, this summer. Laura Ellis performs 7 p.m. Thursday, June 29. The community is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy music from The Square or Perdue Hall Lawn, both adjacent to the Guerrieri Academic Commons. Ellis, associate director of the University of Florida School of Music, is serving her second term as president of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America. She has performed solo recitals at the University of Sydney in Australia and at the National Carillon in the Australian capital of Canberra. Admission is free. Concerts are held rain or shine.
